B.Sc. Operation Theatre Technology has advanced tremendously in many different ways, both scientifically and technologically. More and more advanced surgeries are being performed on patients, from new-born babies to geriatric patients. The equipment required to provide anesthesia and perform many surgeries has become more sophisticated and specialized. The operation theatre technologist assists the surgeons in the various procedures required for administering anesthesia and in setting up the anesthetic and monitoring equipment in the operation theatre. They are also involved with regular maintenance and upkeep of the anesthetic equipment and monitoring devices.
